Robert GIBBINGS The Sun Bather  (1933)
An illustration from issue 3 of Sun Bathing Review, original wood engraving on almost tissue-thin, probably Japanese laid paper. Signed Robert Gibbings in pencil, titled and numbered from the limited edition of 50.
In good condition with full margins and with some light marks including remains of adhesive to top left and right corners of the sheet as well as overall light discolouration to the sheet, but will frame up beautifully. This print, which is included in various public collections but seldom comes up for sale, is a very rare and collectable woodcut by Robert Gibbings, the artist who was largely responsible for the wood engraving revival in Britain during the first half of the 20th Century.
