Etching and aquatint from 3 steel plates in black, grey, red and turquoise on J Green Mouldmade wove paper, from Julian Trevelyan's Thames Suite comprising 12 different views of the River Thames 'from the upper non-tidal reaches to the tidal stretches of London and down to the Estuary'. Signed Julian Trevelyan in pencil and numbered from the limited edition of 75 (there were also 15 artist's proofs). Printed by Geoffrey Beardsall and Dorothea Wight, London and published by London Graphics. Referenced in Turner 230. Plate size: 350mm x 478mm.
In very good and bright condition with full margins and strong colours, the very occasional very tiny mark or dot of ink in the margins well away from the image.
An almost abstract, charming view of Windsor Castle from the Thames in smooth greens and greys – an absolute winner for any wall.
