Masque de Mort (Mask of Death) from the 1975 Visions de Quevedo suite of 6 prints on various different papers. An original drypoint etching in colours with stencil on Arches watermarked wove paper with deckled edges (other editions were printed on Japon or Richard de Bas paper). Signed Dali in pencil lower right, an artist's proof (Epreuve d'Artiste - EA) aside from the limited edition of 200. Published by Jean Paul Loup and Galerie Börjeson, Malmö. Printed by Ateliers Rigal, Paris. Referenced and pictured in the artist's catalogues raisonnee by Albert Field: 75-17-103 and Michler-Lopsinger, 774. Provenance: from the studio/collection of Denise Rigal with signature and annotation on the reverse. Plate size: 500mm x 365mm.
In very good condition with fresh, bright colours and full margins, one or two very light handling creases, one more noticeable at the lower right sheet edge. A rare, immediately recognisable and typically surrealistic print by this highly collectable world-renowned artist.
