Edward BAWDEN Albert Bridge  (1966)
From Nine London Monuments, an original linocut in colours on wove paper. Signed boldly in ballpoint pen lower right and titled and numbered lower left, one of 75 Artist's Proofs
In good condition with some light creasing in the margins. Creasing on the reverse of the print which can only be seen from the back. Slight discolouration at the very edge of paper and just below the print. Pin mark at top right corner, probably a registration mark
An excellent example of Bawden's renowned ingenuity using the simplicity of lines and attention to detail, and an extremely rare and collectable London image by this ever-popular modern British artist, with very few auction records. London has never looked better than in Bawden's mid-Century linocuts!
