Victor PASMORE Linear Motif, 1950  (1950)
Original lithograph on fine paper with a hand-drawn pencil line around the printed image. Signed V Pasmore in pencil lower right, an un-dated and un-numbered print most likely from a very small limited edition. From a series of six black and white lithographs exploring the construction of shapes such as spirals, rectangles, triangles and circles found in nature, particularly the beaches of Cornwall. Image size approx 29cm x 29cm. The last photo opposite is an interior shot of Terry Frost's studio which shows this print pinned to the door!
In very good condition with occasional tiny light marks, old adhesive has been professionally removed from the reverse sheet corners showing very faintly through to the front far corners. Sheet slightly unevenly trimmed, probably by the artist. A beautifully simple and very rare (possibly Pasmore's earliest lithograph) signed print by this ever-popular modern British abstract artist
