Patrick HUGHES Splash of Colour  (1982)
Original screen print in colours on BFK Rives wove paper. Signed Hughes in pencil, dated '82, titled, and numbered from the limited edition of 200. Published by CCA Galleries, London
In FAIR condition with strong, bright colours, noticeable even discolouration to the paper not affecting the direct image, and a small water stain at right edge of sheet well away from the image - price adjusted accordingly! A large and rare Patrick Hughes pop art print which will look superb framed up to bring a sense of fun and colourful vibe to any room!
Patrick Hughes' fascination with rainbows during the 70s/80s was expressed through the absurd and surreal. In 'Splash of Colours' we see a rainbow taking a dive from a diving board into a swimming pool, as if about to go for a refreshing swim.
