Eduardo PAOLOZZI UEV: A Formula That Can Shatter Into a Million Glass Bullets  (1967)
A Formula That Can Shatter into a Million Glass Bullets is an original screen print on Saunders Plain paper from Universal Electronic Vacuum a portfolio of 10 prints. Signed Eduardo Paolozzi lower right, an artist's proof from the edition of 75 (plus 15 artist's proofs). Printed at Kelpra Studios, London and published by Editions Alecto, London. Referenced in Miles The Complete Prints of Eduardo Paolozzi, 42. Like many Paolozzi prints, printed in various colourways throughout the edition.
In good condition with light overall discolouration, a little grubby (most noticeable at the sheet edges), a few bumps also at the sheet edges, a black ink mark on the lower left margin (probably done at time of printing), well away from the image. Provenance: from the estate of Paolozzi's former partner Christine Risley (1926-2003), artist and lecturer in Textiles at Central Saint Martin's School of Art, London.
An extremely rare and early eye catching and collectable large print by Eduardo Paolozzi, the father of British Pop Art, from this important folio which demonstrates so well the artist's interest in technology and popular culture. This print is especially beautiful with bronze and silver ink included as part of its unusual colourways.
